08:00 AM: Your driver will pick you up from the Old Quarter or the Hanoi Opera House. We will then depart for Chuong conical hat Village, renowned for its conical hat since the 17th century.

• After 30 km traveling from Hanoi center, you will arrive at Chuong Village, known for its 300-year history of conical hat making. You will visit a family with a long-standing tradition in this craft.

9:30 You will be warmly welcomed by the host with a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea inside an ancient house, a perfect showcase of Northern Delta architecture. You will be captivated by the wooden structure, adorned with intricate carvings and traditional furnishings that give the house a deeply venerable and timeless atmosphere.

10:00 You will move inside the Tonkin conical hat workshop to begin your journey of discovery and hands-on experience. Here, you will meet local artisans who have dedicated decades of their lives to this craft.

• Making a conical hat is a multi-step process that requires immense patience and skillful hands, utilizing simple, natural materials like bamboo, rattan and palm leaves brought from forests hundreds of kilometers away.
• Firstly, you will receive a clear introduction to the materials and the step-by-step hat-making process. You will observe the artisans at work and receive their personal guidance to challenge your own hands-on skills – from flattening the palm leaves to stitching and painting your own imaginative designs onto the hat. This is a truly special experience, as you will get to take your custom hat home as a meaningful souvenir of your journey.

• Throughout the visit and workshop, you will also have the chance to interact with the warm-hearted, authentic local people. Don’t forget to capture beautiful photos with our impressive displays made from conical hats and familiar countryside items like bamboo carrying poles, an ancient water well, and a traditional water tank… all creating a nostalgic, rustic ambiance set within a lush green garden.
• Though it takes only about 1 to 2 hours, I am certain you will feel completely satisfied with your wise choice. You will gain a genuine insight into the Vietnamese countryside, connect with passionate artisans, and enjoy an experiential journey that is truly hard to find anywhere else.”

11:30 You join a cooking class to learn how to make a delicious food called “Nem Ran”. You will be introduced ingredients mixed together and guidance to roll the Vietnamese spring rolls and fry the spring rolls.

12:00 A delicious, home-cooked meal will be served you inside the traditional house. You have a short rest after lunch.

13:30: Continue taking a leisurely bike ride to soak in the scenic countryside and rustic villages and lush green rice and vegetable fields.

Say good bye to the family, get on the car to go back your hotel.
