Arrival in Hanoi

Hello! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam.

  • A car and tour guide will pick you up at the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it, who will help you complete the quick procedure (VIP) to get your visa stamped. After you have got your visa stamped and collected your luggage, take you to meet your guide and driver who are waiting, pick you up and take you straight to your hotel.
  • Your tour guide will introduce you to the Vietnam tour. Check in at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel, a luxury hotel, where you can enjoy French art combined with Vietnamese elegance.

Overnight in Hanoi

Hanoi – Sightseeing, Cyclo Ride & Home-hosted Dinner

Morning: After breakfast, your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby and take you on a half-day tour of Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda.

  • Visit the Temple of Literature (Vietnam’s first university, built in the 11th century), Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple.
  • Enjoy a French-inspired lunch at La Verticale, an elegant fine-dining restaurant housed in a French colonial-style villa.

Afternoon: After lunch, you will return to the hotel to relax at Le Spa du Metropole or join a tour of the Metropole Historic Road and bomb shelter with the hotel’s historians.

  • In the late afternoon, you will meet your guide again and begin a one-hour cyclo (three-wheeled bicycle) tour through the Old Quarter, weaving through the maze of small streets, taking in the views of Hanoi.

Evening: Tour guide and driver take you to a local house, you enjoy tea and listen to stories, then you will learn to cook with the locals, and enjoy dinner. Return to the hotel to rest.

 

Overnight in Hanoi

Meals: (B/L/D)

Hanoi – Halong Bay

Morning: After breakfast, check out of your hotel, your guide and driver will pick you up and take you on a three-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay to the luxurious Paradise Peak, where you will spend the evening.

  • At around noon, you will arrive at Tuan Chau Island and board your cruise ship. You will be briefed on your tour, and enjoy drinks on board.

Noon: You will enjoy lunch on board at the luxury restaurant.

Afternoon: After lunch, admire the beauty of Halong Bay as Paradise Peak glides past limestone islands, islets and towers. Alternatively, you can pamper yourself at Le Parfum Spa*.

  • Visit Tung Sau Pearl Farm, an area in Halong Bay that specializes in pearl farming and practices a craft based on Vietnamese traditions and Japanese technology. You will have the opportunity to kayak and paddle around the limestone cliffs and through the clear waters, and enjoy afternoon tea on board.
  • At Ti Top Island, you can hike to the top for a panoramic view of the bay. After the hike, go for a swim in Halong Bay or sip on a coconut in the shade.
  • As the sun sets, you will arrive at a quiet anchorage for the overnight cruise, where you can soak up the memories of the day’s adventures with a cocktail under the stars. Take part in a cooking class with the chef. Learn about local ingredients and how to prepare Vietnamese dishes.

Evening: Enjoy Paradise Royal Dinner your way on board: cabin, sundeck or restaurant. In the evening, you are free to squid fish, watch a movie in the cabin or have more drinks on the sundeck.

Overnight on board in Halong Bay

Meals: (B/L/D)

Halong Bay – Seaplane 30 Minutes – Hanoi – Flight to Hue

Morning: You can join Tai Chi exercises on the sundeck before breakfast.

  • Visit the beautiful Cave of Surprises “Grotte des Surprises”, a hidden gem of Mother Nature. Enjoy the view of the Bay as you exit the cave.
  • Back on board, breakfast will be served in the restaurant or in your cabin as Paradise Peak cruises past Thien Cung Cave, Dau Go Cave, and Hon Ga Choi. Check out while Paradise Peak heads back to port.
  • Finally, you will disembark at Tuan Chau Pier. Instead of driving back to Hanoi, you will embark on a free, fun, and luxurious journey by Hai Au Seaplane. The 45-minute flight allows you to admire the thousands of limestone blocks rising from the water from above and see the fishing villages.

Afternoon: Return to Hanoi Airport, you will connect to a flight to the ancient capital of Hue in Central Vietnam.

  • Upon arrival in Hue, your guide and driver will welcome you at the arrival lounge and take you to Azerai La Résidence Hotel & Spa for check-in. Free time to sightsee.

Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

Morning: After breakfast, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and take you to visit the Imperial City of Hue, visit the Forbidden City, where the emperors and their families once lived. You will take a walk to admire the beauty of the ancient capital.

  • From the Imperial City, your tour guide will take you to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the most famous religious site in Hue, where you will explore the gardens, the seven-story octagonal tower and watch monks chanting sutras.
  • Hue is famous for its royal cuisine. The feasts of the legendary Nguyen Dynasty Emperors included 300 rare dishes served in more than a thousand bowls. Your tour guide will take you to the luxurious Ancient Hue restaurant, where you will enjoy a royal lunch that offers a unique and luxurious experience.

Afternoon: You will explore the tomb of the longest-reigning Emperor Tu Duc, the harmonious design of which is the resting place of the emperor.

  • Visit the tomb of King Khai Dinh, designed in traditional Vietnamese style with European touches, creating a uniqueness compared to other tombs in Hue.
  • Visit Truc Chi Garden, bamboo paper handicraft workshop. You will meet some students and have a hands-on experience to learn how to use bamboo pulp carving techniques to create works of art.

Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

Morning: After breakfast and check out of the hotel, the tour guide and driver drive three hours to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass stopping to admire the scenery from above

  • On the way, you will stop in Da Nang to visit the Marble Mountains, the Museum of Cham Sculpture…
  • Around noon, you will arrive and check in at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, one of the luxury resorts where you will enjoy three nights here.
  • Visit Ha My Beach – praised by Forbes as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai is a harmonious song about the coast.

Afternoon: You are free to relax as you like. Enjoy the comfort of the resort and the white sand beach.

Hoi An – Walking and Food Tour

Morning: In your free time, you can join a Yoga class at the resort. Or experience the spa at the resort.

Afternoon: The tour guide and driver will pick you up from the resort and take you to Hoi An Ancient Town, where you can walk and visit the cuisine, stroll along the Thu Bon River to admire the poetic scenery of Hoi An.

  • You will walk to visit places such as: Ong Pagoda, Tan Ky Ancient House, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and Japanese Bridge, Heritage Museum, which displays Réhahn’s precious Heritage Collections. With rich cultural paintings of ethnic minorities.
  • Visit the Reaching Out Tea House, a small oasis in the middle of the crowded Old Quarter, owned and operated by deaf and mute people, where you will be treated to delicious cakes and wonderful oriental tea.
  • You will visit the house of a lantern artisan. You will be guided to make lanterns from bending the lantern into the frame, cutting the fabric, gluing, to completing the lantern. Before the end of the trip, you will have a lantern made by your own hands.

Evening: explore Hoi An street food with the locals, in small alleys, or at hawker stalls, you will enjoy delicious and attractive dishes.

Today, you are free to enjoy the comfort of the resort and the beach at your own leisure. You can choose to have a suit tailored or join a hands-on cooking class.

Hoi An – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City

Morning: After breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon.

  • Arrive at Ho Chi Minh City airport, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and take you to the Park Hyatt Hotel to check in.

Afternoon: After enjoying a Vietnamese lunch at Cuc Gach Quan, a world-class restaurant, you will be accompanied by your tour guide to visit Ho Chi Minh City’s landmarks such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Rex Hotel, the General Post Office, famous for its architecture, and Ben Thanh Market.

  • Stop at the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum to learn more about Vietnam’s rich past.
  • Visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda and end with a glass of wine watching the sunset atop Bitexco Tower, the tallest building in Vietnam.

HCM City – Cu Chi Tunnels by Speedboat

Morning: After breakfast, you will be picked up and taken to Saigon pier to start the speedboat trip to Cu Chi to visit the historical site, you will explore the underground tunnel. You will watch a documentary film

  • After exploring the tunnel, you will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch with local specialties such as lemongrass chicken and clay pot pork which will be served on the boat.

Afternoon: The rest of the afternoon and evening will be free at your own discretion.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

HCM City – Cu Chi Tunnels by Speedboat

Morning: After breakfast, your guide and driver will take you out of Ho Chi Minh City by private car to Ben Tre Town, the heart of the Mekong Delta, famous for its vast rice fields, numerous waterways and stunning scenery.

  • Upon arrival, you will board a part-rickshaw, part-motorcycle, weaving through rice fields and coconut groves to the luxurious Mango Cruise, a bamboo boat awaiting your arrival on a picturesque canal.
  • Board the boat and embark on activities such as fishing and water transport. Stop at a small brick factory to see how bricks are made in the traditional style.
  • After a short ride across the An Hoa River, you will embark on a four-kilometre bike ride to Phong Nam Village to learn about the coconut candy making process, before heading to a rice vermicelli factory. Then, walk to Mrs. Huong’s house, where you can taste wild honey and enjoy fruits before taking a boat to explore the small waterways.
  • Back to the boat. Continue to the Mango Restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious five-course lunch.

Afternoon: Take a leisurely stroll through the gardens to Mr. Sau Tuong’s house, where you can learn how to make rice paper. Then, you will board the boat back to Ben Tre City to Can Tho. Stop on the way at Vinh Trang Pagoda to visit and admire the peaceful scenery.

Evening: Arrive in Can Tho and check in at the luxurious Azerai Can Tho Resort located in the Hau River, Azerai Can Tho offers a tranquil retreat, a five-star resort inspired by traditional and modern architecture.

Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – HCM City

Morning: Rise early and take a boat to Cai Rang Market, the Mekong Delta’s largest floating market. Here, you’ll watch hundreds of small boats speed across the water.

  • Continuing along the canals, you’ll stop at an orchard to sample some seasonal fruit before taking a short walk to Ba Bo Bridge (water level permitting). After your tour, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Afternoon: Return to the city and check into your Park Hyatt Hotel. Then, spend the rest of the day relaxing.
