The tunnel system is located deep underground, can withstand the destruction of the largest bombs of the US army, air into the tunnels is taken through vents, the areas of the tunnels can be isolated when needed.

The tunnel under the tunnels is only enough for one person to bend over, the tunnels have 3 floors, from the top of the tunnel down and have many branches, some branches are connected, some branches flow into the Saigon River, the first floor is 3m from the ground to withstand artillery shells and the weight of tanks and armored vehicles.

The second floor is 5-8m above ground, which can withstand small bombs, and the third floor is 8-12m above ground, with ramps and hatch covers, which are discreetly camouflaged to look like termite mounds.

Between the tunnels there are ventilation holes, resting places, places to store weapons and food, wells, Hoang Cam kitchens, command bunkers, surgical bunkers, etc.
