The Phong Nha Villages Biking Tour is a unique adventure for travelers who want to explore the countryside, local culture, and scenic landscapes of Phong Nha by bicycle.
Cycle along rivers, rice paddies, and unpaved village paths while participating in traditional farming activities, learning how Vietnamese rice wine is made, and enjoying local culinary experiences.
This Phong Nha Biking Tour combines outdoor adventure, cultural immersion, and delicious local food for a memorable day in the beautiful Phong Nha countryside.
TOUR ITINERARY
08:00 – 08:30 – Pick up at your hotel in Phong Nha and transfer to the starting point for a briefing and road safety instructions.
08:45 – Start cycling along Son River to Bong Lai Village. Join local farming activities in rice paddies or peanut fields, or learn how Vietnamese-style popcorn is made.
Next, visit Gia Hung Village and explore a local rice wine shop. Learn how rice wine is made and taste some (non-alcoholic at this time).
Take a local ferry across the Son River and continue cycling on unpaved paths.
Descend into Bong Lai Valley, enjoy the view of Bong Lai River, and stop at the recently popular hilltop Pub for a cold beer or soft drink.
Lunch at Wild Boar Farm with pork cooked in bamboo. Tour the farm guided by the local couple who owns it.
After lunch, cycle back to Phong Nha town via off-the-beaten-track paths, crossing beautiful rice fields (Jan–Aug).
Tour ends around 16:30, returning to Phong Nha town.
