TOUR OVERVIEW

This short day trip offers a peaceful escape from the busy city of Ho Chi Minh, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and tranquil lifestyle of the Mekong Delta. You will explore local villages, rivers, islands, and traditional crafts while enjoying southern Vietnamese folk culture.

MORNING – MEKONG DELTA AND VINH TRANG PAGODA

7:30 – 8:30 AM: Pick-up from hotels near Ben Thanh Market by bus and English-speaking tour guide. Depart for the Mekong Delta (My Tho – Ben Tre).

• Stop at Mekong Restop for snacks and restroom break.

• Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, built in the 19th century by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat. This pagoda is an important architectural and artistic site in southern Vietnam, blending European and Asian styles.

My Tho River Cruise:

• Board a boat at My Tho Cruise Port to travel along the Tien River, admiring the four islets of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. Learn about local fish farming on floating fish rafts and see Rach Mieu Bridge.

• Explore Thoi Son Island (Lan Island) by walking village roads, visiting local houses and fruit gardens, taking souvenir photos, and visiting the honey bee farm to enjoy honey lemon tea.

• Enjoy traditional Don Ca Tai Tu southern Vietnamese folk music, sample fresh fruit, and use small rowing boats to explore narrow canals lined with coconut trees. Visit the coconut candy shop to see how candies are made and local handicrafts.

NOON – LUNCH AND RELAXATION

Around 12:30 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy optional activities:

• Fishing for crocodiles

• Walking across the monkey bridge

• Relaxing in hammocks

• Cycling along village roads

AFTERNOON – RETURN TO HO CHI MINH CITY

2:30 PM: Return to My Tho by boat and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.

5:00 PM: Arrive at Pham Ngu Lao Street or Ben Thanh Market. End of tour, farewell from the guide.

CHILDREN POLICY

• Children from 5 to under 10 years old: 75% of ticket price, with seats on the bus, same standard of meals as adults.

• Children 4 years old and under: free of charge, sit on parents’ lap (two adults may accompany one free child). From the second child onward, 75% of ticket price applies.

• Children 10 years old and above: full adult ticket required.
