MORNING – CU CHI TUNNELS

7:15 AM: The bus and English speaking tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point and depart for the Cu Chi Tunnels, located 70 kilometers west of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Cu Chi Tunnel system was built by the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam during the Indochina War and the Vietnam War. The network includes an infirmary, living quarters, kitchens, storage rooms, working areas, and over 200 kilometers of underground tunnels with bush-covered ventilation systems. During the 1968 Tet Offensive, the tunnels were strategically used for guerrilla attacks on Saigon.

During the visit, you will:

• Learn how Vietnamese guerrillas built, lived, and fought in these tunnels.

• Watch documentary footage showcasing the Vietnamese resistance during the war.

• See primitive homemade weapons, bamboo traps, and other guerrilla tools.

• Optionally crawl through safe tunnel sections to experience tunnel life.

• Observe local people making rice paper and rice wine.

• Optionally try shooting at the on-site AK-47 shooting range (extra fee).

NOON – MEKONG DELTA REGION

11:30 AM: Depart Cu Chi Tunnels and travel toward the Mekong Delta.

• Arrive at My Tho Cruise Port and board a boat on the Tien River. Cruise along the river, passing the floating fish farms and Rach Mieu Bridge, and enjoy views of four islands: Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung.

• Stop at Thoi Son Island (Lan Island) to explore village roads, visit local homes and fruit gardens, take souvenir photos, and see the honey bee farm and taste honey tea. Visit the coconut candy factory.

• Enjoy Don Ca Tai Tu traditional music while sampling fresh fruit.

• Use small rowing boats to explore narrow canals, admire rows of coconut trees and the peaceful riverine landscape.

• Lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant around 2:00 PM.

AFTERNOON – RETURN TO HO CHI MINH CITY

5:00 PM: Return to My Tho by boat and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.

7:00 PM: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Drop off at Pham Ngu Lao Street or Ben Thanh Market. Tour ends with farewell from your guide.
