This full day Ho Chi Minh city tour offers a comprehensive introduction to Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon. Throughout the day, you will explore historical landmarks, cultural sites, local markets, and enjoy a relaxing water bus experience on the Saigon River. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to understand the city’s history, culture, and daily life in one complete journey.
MORNING CITY TOUR (7:45 – 8:00 PICK-UP)
The bus and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point in District One. The morning program focuses on the most famous historical landmarks of Saigon.
INDEPENDENCE PALACE
Visit the Independence Palace, a well-known architectural complex and an important historical site of Viet Nam. This landmark played a significant role in modern Vietnamese history and represents a key moment at the end of the war in 1975.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL (OUTSIDE VISIT ONLY)
Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the most iconic symbols of Ho Chi Minh City. Construction began in 1877 and was completed in 1880. The cathedral is not only a symbol of Catholicism in Viet Nam but also a remarkable example of French colonial architecture.
Please note: The cathedral is currently under restoration, so guests can only visit and take photos from outside.
HO CHI MINH CITY POST OFFICE
Continue to the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, built between 1886 and 1891 by the French architect Gustave Eiffel. This building is famous for its classic design, elegant details, and distinctive yellow color. It is one of the most popular photo stops in the city.
WAR REMNANTS MUSEUM
Next, visit the War Remnants Museum, which displays valuable historical artifacts from the Nguyen Dynasty through the two Indochina wars. The museum provides deeper insight into the impact of war on Viet Nam and its people.
NOON: LUNCH BREAK (AROUND 11:30)
The bus will take you to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a short break before continuing the afternoon program.
AFTERNOON CITY TOUR (12:30 – 13:00)
After lunch, the bus and tour guide will pick you up again at the meeting point to begin the afternoon city tour.
CHO LON – BINH TAY MARKET
Visit Cho Lon, also known as Binh Tay Market, one of the largest wholesale markets in Ho Chi Minh City. This area extends from District Five to District Six and is rich in historical and cultural value. It is home to a large Chinese-Vietnamese community and is a lively center for trade and daily life.
THIEN HAU PAGODA
Continue to Thien Hau Pagoda, located in Chinatown. This is one of the oldest and most important places of worship for the Chinese community in Saigon. The pagoda plays a significant role in the spiritual life of local residents and is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea. During holidays, the pagoda is especially lively with visitors coming throughout the day.
EVENING EXPERIENCE
BACH DANG WHARF AND WATER BUS
In the evening, head to Bach Dang Wharf for a relaxing water bus experience on the Saigon River. From the river, you will see the city from a different perspective, passing famous landmarks such as Landmark 81 and Thu Thiem Bridge. This journey offers a peaceful way to explore the soul of Saigon and appreciate why it was once known as the Pearl of the Far East.
At around 18:00, the bus will take you back to your hotel or meeting point.

CHILDREN POLICY
Children from one meter to under one meter and forty centimeters in height are charged seventy-five percent of the adult price and will have their own seat.
Children under one meter in height are free of charge and must sit on their parents’ lap. Two adults may accompany one free child. From the second child onward, the charge is seventy-five percent of the ticket price.
Children from one meter and forty centimeters in height and above are charged the full adult price.
