This 3 day, 2 night journey takes you deep into the majestic landscapes and historical sites of Cao Bang in the Northeast of Vietnam. Visit sacred revolutionary sites in Pac Bo, admire the breathtaking Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Vietnam – China border, walk through the stunning Nguom Ngao Cave, check in at the unique God’s Eye Mountain (Nui Mat Than), and unwind amidst the tranquil beauty of Ba Be Lake.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi – Cao Bang – Pac Bo

• Morning pick-up in Hanoi and drive to Cao Bang.

• Lunch at a local restaurant.

• Afternoon visit to Pac Bo Historical Site – including Lenin Stream and Karl Marx Mountain, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in the early days of the revolution.

• Return to Cao Bang City for dinner.

• Overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.

Day 2: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave – Nui Mat Than – Cao Bang

• Breakfast at hotel.

• Depart for Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Vietnam. Free time for sightseeing and photos. (Optional bamboo boat ride to get closer to the falls – at your own expense.)

• Visit Nguom Ngao Cave, famous for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites.

• Stop at Nui Mat Than (God’s Eye Mountain / Nui Thung) for photo opportunities of this unique mountain with a natural “eye” in the rock. (Motorbike taxi to the viewpoint available at your own expense.)

• Return to Cao Bang City for dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Cao Bang – Ba Be Lake – Hanoi

• Breakfast at hotel, then depart for Ba Be National Park.

• Enjoy a boat trip on Ba Be Lake, surrounded by limestone mountains, forests, and peaceful villages.

• Lunch at a local restaurant or homestay area (depending on timing).

• Afternoon drive back to Hanoi.

• Evening arrival in Hanoi. End of tour.
